Ive been checking flights since 11 months out and they have been driving me crazy!
We had our hotel booked since April for Oct 14th so I was looking for those dates up to 22nd for departure.
I did find a good price £2000 for the 14th but by the time I came home they were up £1000 and all other flights had increase. I was happy to wait as we booked our last flights just after Xmas last time and got a good deal.
Well I had been checking again and found the 24th had come down £400 in the last 5 days, DH was out watching the match and I text him and he said book them and we will sort the hotel out later. Not our ideal date but all others were at least £700 more.
So I booked them, happy with £1635 but not too happy at paying to book our seats, we will go for the ones at the back of the first section of economy so we can recline without having that horrible recline feeling!! (I do hope they recline!) we did discuss the extra leg room but DH said the extra 3 inch was not worth having to sit 3 & 1, he wants us all together.
The hotel was a bit of a nightmare as I couldn't get the full 14 nights, it was booked for 3 of them but I got a lovely CM who called someone and they managed to get me the full duration on the new date and everything else I had booked was transferred too.
I sort of feel like I'm going now but not looking forward to the pre-planning all of the meals and FP's again!
Roll on April 27th for ADR's.
