Flight prices - Easter 2005

Got back 3 weeks ago - and already looking to book again for Easter 2005. However, I am finding that flight prices seem a lot higher than this year and that a lot of airlines are already booked up - according to Bon Voyage. Even though the scheduled prices are only just available.


Anyone else with the same problem?

I'm finding the same for April 2005, the prices seem to go up for Easter and stay high during April.

For our family (4 adult fares + 2 children) BA were £2200 to go before Easter but are £5,500 in April.

I had a reasonable quote on the web a couple of weeks ago for a Virgin fly-drive but the Saturday flights seem no longer available? (surely they can't be full already)!

First Choice seem to be the best value at moment, but I'm hoping for some special offers in the next month or so and may fly indirect.

I hope you're succesfull in finding flights for a reasonable price -please keep us informed-.

Julie, I've noticed that too. It's only been 3 weeks, is this your way of dealing with the post WDW blues.
We haven't been this year yet, but I picked up Virgins 2005 brochure yesterday - I just couldn't help myself.

Just booked - flying BMI & United via Washington DC. £387 per person. Taking the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Washington on the way home. Just need to arrange all the accommodation now - but have decided on a night af Portofino Pay if we can arrange it.

Absolutely cracking price Julie

We spent a couple of days in Washington 4-5 years ago before heading off for a fortnight in Williamsburg, Virginia. We were all well impressed with the city. If you closed your ears and just looked down the wide boulevards you would swear you were in a main European city.

Still can't believe that price for Easter - we "paid" around double that for GLA - MCO with bmi last Sept/Oct. (ticket costs covered by Compensation Vouchers)

We are having to fly out on Weds 16th March (2 days earlier than planned) as it would be too expensive otherwise. Got this price using Airline Network - they were excellent - very helpful. Got an intermediate hire car for £311 for 2 weeks (incl 2 drivers & tank of petrol) and 2 nights at the Washington Hilton for £198 total.

I've been to Washington before (on business for a couple of days) but DH & DS haven't been before.
