Flight of Passage vs Rise of the Resistance

Better ride?

Then I will definitely try harder (although I don't know if that is possible) to get a chance to ride Rise of the Resistance.

Both rides made me tear up the first time I rode them. Absolutely insane technology in both. It's a tough pick because I love them both so much. I would probably have to go with RotR though because of the full experience.

FOP is an amazing ride, has an amazing queue. It's an amazing experience.

And ROTR is even better than that.

I still love FoP, its an amazing ride.
But RoTR is so much larger, longer, more immersive. Its just a complete experience.

While FoP is enjoyed more by some than RoTR,IMO there is ZERO argument to be made that RoTR isn't the most elaborate, technoligically attraction ever built in ANY Park ANYWHERE,PERIOD.

I want to love FoP...I really do. However, it makes me so violently nauseous that I can't do it anymore. It ruins my entire day.

That said...even if it didn't make me sick, Rise of the Resistance is THE GREATEST RIDE ON THE PLANET.

I can’t wait to see what my DH thinks of Rise of the Resistance! FoP has been his current fav since it’s come out, he absolutely loves it. Before that it was Toy Story Mania so I’m anxious to see if Rise moves to his #1. Especially since he’s such a huge Star Wars fan.

They are BOTH awesome. Sadly, DH is blah about both. He finds FOP dizzying so now sits it out. And he doesn't think ROTR was worth the effort. Granted I dragged him out of bed at 4am to make it to DHS for 6am rope drop. So while my teens said it was well worth the early morning, DH didn't agree. Oh well, one day I'll get him back on it :)

Currently FOP is better. Rise has far too much plexiglass which diminishes its experience.

I experienced both of them for the first time in December (first trip back since 2015), and I have to say...FOP blew me away. ROTR was kinda cool but was mostly just one giant indoor queue with themed CMs. Like HM if each part were 3x as long and I had to wake up 2 hours early to obsessively refresh my phone and plan my day around it. There were some parts that were really neat from an effects standpoint, and seeing the AT-AT room took my breath away the first time, but it was nothing compared to flying on the Ikran. I am much more of a SW fan than Avatar, and I was really psyched for ROTR, but to me it was just ok after so much hype.

They're both great rides but they are very different, so its hard to compare. Rise is an actual ride where you sit in a vehicle and move about. FOP is a simulator, which some people hate but some people love and find it feels more immersive.

Love them both, but if I could only choose one to ride, I'd pick Rise. And I say that as a very casual Star Wars fan.
