Working on plotting our trip this summer - as of right now we are thinking of paying for an LL just for FOP instead of Genie+ for the day.

But we will be a party of 6 - and my 4 year old will likely be tall enough to ride, but would probably panic and I don't want to deal with that - or make anyone else have to either!

So how would rider switch work with that? I would buy LL's for the 5 going on the ride - but then would 1 of those 5 be able to ride twice?

If your 4yo is tall enough you won't get a digital rider swap, the CM may offer a switch at the exit for this but you will need an ILL reservation for the entire party.

If your 4yo is not tall enough you will need an ILL reservation for all but the 4yo (non-rider) and then the person waiting with the non-rider can choose one guest to return with them, so they don't have to ride alone. When you approach the CM to ask for the swap you will indicate who will ride 2nd and who will ride twice.

eta - don't worry if your 4yo wants to give it a try Disney is used to kids (and adults) changing their mind and great at dealing with it.

Yes on our last trip a few weeks ago when we were in the room where they link you a kid that was part of a family around your size got scared and decided to not ride and the CM was really good with them they had to wait until we went to our banshees and was led out to the exit. We did not see if the parent got to switch and go on with someone else.
