Flight has a 1 stop, MCO-CVG-CMH. Can I get off at CVG and not go to CMH ?

Huntsville, Al. replaced CVG as the nation's most expensive airport in the second quarter of 2009, according to an article in USA TODAY; CVG fell all the way to 12th place in that same survey.

Yesterday on my Delta flight from MCO to LAX zone 4 (my zone) was delayed from boarding 5-10 minutes because 25 people from zone 3 had not boarded. I found that surprising. If the zone 3 people weren't there and ready to board why should I be delayed? oh well.

On domestic flights do airlines even match the passenger manifest against the baggage mainifest?

Good question. I was on a flight recently where a passenger was escorted off the plane pre-departure by the local sheriff (apparently, he crossed the line with an FA in a dispute about overhead luggage---naturally, this bozo was sitting in first class). When they removed him, they also removed his bag (and we had to wait a little bit for them to find it).

But, I suspect that is not done routinely.

DW reminded me that I am proof that luggage and passengers on a plane aren't matched. Returning home from a trip, the flight I was scheduled on was overbooked and I offered to be bumped. I was put on a later departure, but due to the new flight being a through, rather than a plane change, an earlier arrival home. I had to wait around at the airport for my luggage. No way they knew I even flew that day when they allowed my bags to remain on the plane.
