Flight gets in at 11:00 p.m.....Orlando Airport Hyatt for $300 or BC Deluxe Rm for $450?

Airport Embassy suites for 1/2 the price. 2 queens and a sleeper, including full breakfast the next morning. Surprisingly cheap for an UberXL to the beach club after.

We did it this past 12/29 and it was a perfect plan.

This one. The Embassy Suites are roomy for 6, and free breakfast. Late night flights are almost never on time as the earlier flights usually push it back. We are not rope drop people so I would lose nothing with this plan if I have to move rooms anyway.

Right, you get a nice size room (sleeps 6 easily) and a FULL breakfast for everyone included in the price. The Uber ride was 20 minutes at the most, and as a nice little "bonus" it's actually cheaper because you save the $5-6 airport surcharge since it's not an airport pickup. They have a little mini-market for late night snacks if you want a quick something before crashing.

If you land at 11pm, you'll *maybe* be out of the airport at midnight since baggage can be really slow at MCO at later hours. If you were to collect your bags and use DME, you'll be at BC by 1:30am best case scenario. Then to pay $450 to crash for 4 hours and rope drop? I dunno... airport hotel for me. :-)

Bolding mine! Custom made omelettes and fresh fluffy waffles at that. A plate full of bacon and unlimited drinks. We are a family of 6 and stay at the Lake Buena Vista Embassy Suites often just for the breakfast and free happy hour! Such a good bargain

So I'm the weirdo that actually enjoys Magical Express and finds it a fun way to start vacation....

We booked to arrive on a Wednesday, but I'm considering do a cheaper late night flight from Chicago on Tuesday which would arrive around 1:00 am and booking at Hyatt for that night.

I think it would be awesome to wake up in the airport, have my luggage, leisurely get coffee/breakfast and then get in line for my Magical Express around 8 am to kick off the vacation first thing in the morning!

:)

We have done this before. It was rather enjoyable. We are debating doing it again this year.

We are almost in the same boat (estimated arrival at 10:30pm) and going straight to Poly. It kills me that I will get a text while still in CT with "youre resort room is ready!" but at least when I do get there, I can head straight for bed and sleep in! The hard part of traveling is over! After a long day in the real world, then travel, you will most likely be exhausted. WHy not just take the extra hour, get to hotel, and then, worry free!! Its such a hard decision and weve done both in the past. It stinks having to pay for a night that you didnt get to actually enjoy the resort, but technically, you get almost a full day (up until checkin) that you may not have if your room isnt ready! One thing i can share is that when we DO stay offsite late at night, I cant sleep!! I think it is just the excitement of being SO close to disney that my mind just wanders! I end up getting an hour of sleep and then am super exhausted the following day. Good luck on whatever you decide and have a great trip!!

OP has a room at BCV but was considering one-night at the hotel side (BC). So, they'd still have to check out by 11am, leave luggage with bell services, and be "homeless" until 4pm or whenever the other room is ready. Adding on a room at a DVC villa requires some luck via a waitlist being filled or paying a really exorbitant cash rate.

I would book at Disney. The $150 savings to me would not be worth it. I’d prefer to wake up at Disney, have bell services come take my luggage, and just head for some Mickey waffles.

That said, the posters above are right - it will still be a bit of a hassle. I’ve had this situation and stayed at a value resort for one night and had bell services come pick up my luggage and take it to my new hotel. But, you have 6 people, so i’m not sure the expense would be too much cheaper. art of animation studio with a discount??
