Flight changes and car rentals

Delta has changed my flights for April and I will be arriving at Orlando about one to two hours later then originally scheduled. When reserving my car, I stated we would be picking up at 1130. My question is, will I have a problem getting the car later then scheduled? Should I let the car rental know? Or would this make my reservation null and void? I don't want to cancel it and reschedule because right now, the rate is 100.00 more than what I had booked it at. Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't worry about your reservation until MUCH closer to your travel date. Delta could very well change your flights a few more time, forward or backward, before April.

You might want to keep checking rental car rates too. I've had reservations for Nov. 22 - Dec. 2 since August. This past week I changed my reservation becaue I was able to get a full-size car for the price of the compact I had originally reserved. I will be checking daily until we leave for our cruise to possibly find an even better rate. You never know when the rates will drop, so just keep checking with the different companies.

If you have your flight number in your car reservation they will know that the times have changed. For only a couple of hours I wouldn't worry. If it is more than that I would call the company. But then I did that once when it was going to be about 8 hours and they didn't change the time on the reservation. No problem when I picked up the car but they tried to charge me for an extra day when I returned it "late."

i also am traveling in may and the same thing has happened to me ,,,,the times are only a couple hours different but when i try to change my times the rate goes up over 100.00.
that sucks!
i am just going to leave it the way it is & hope for the best,, unless priced go down.

I've always used National and never had a problem with time changes. One time we got an earlier flight and was 4 hours early, other times we've been 2 or 3 hours later and I've never changed the reservation and it wasn't a problem. I asked once at the National counter about late flights and was told the reservation stays in their system until midnight. Last December we got to the airport a couple hours before the return time on the res and they automatically adjusted it to reflect one less day (because our return time was now earlier in the day than the pickup time).
