Flies at LC

I watched some of the videos first posted about LC and all of the flies. Has the situation gotten any better? We are going to KC the second week of August 2024

I can't say firsthand, but I've seen posts that say that Disney has resolved the issue. We won't be at LC until next year but I'm hoping they've tackled it.

I’ve been watching this too (sailing in November) and recent videos seem to show an improved fly situation.

I feel like this has been discussed in a few other places, but there are measures being taken to reduce the fly issue. Food stations being covered, fans on all the tables, and I am sure as time goes on there will be additional measures.

We were just at LP last week with the Magic. I saw only one fly while eating lunch. We did, however, get our food from the allergy kitchen at True-True Too, so I cannot speak to the other areas. In the gazebos eating food, they had the table fans and the large overhead fans, which likely kept them away.

We just returned from our cruise on July 20. Didn't see any flies. There's some really great new food offerings. The beach is beautiful and the sand is unbelievably soft. I usually spend most of the time in a beach chair when we go to any beach. I was in the water almost the entire time and didn't want to leave. A lot of people I talked to said they even liked LP more than CC. We've been to CC 8 times and love it, I now love LP more(I didn't think I would even like it after seeing early vlogs)

Yes it’s better, you don’t need to worry about flies anymore

We were there last week. They have big fans around the stations now as well as the small fly fans on the table. We noticed them when we had food near the drink stations and there were still some in the covered areas but it wasn’t too bad. The flies were a lot easier to deal with than the birds at Cookies at Castaway Cay.

Just got back from LP. We had lunch at Serenity Bay and saw very few flies, pretty much a non-issue now. The fans definitely help.

After seeing the first few posts, i got ready and bought some screens to cover our food and our on table fans
