flea market preference

Hi, just wondered if anyone can tell me which flea market they prefer to shop at and why. Is it worth driving out to Sanford-we will be in Orlando the beginning of August. Seems to be that the flea market experience is a must according to many.

Actually, the only flea market in the greater central/eastern Florida area that I like at all is the one in Daytona. Even then, I don't go out of my way to go to it. Guess I'm not much of a flea market person.

the sanford one is huge ....we did it once but have not been back since then

they also have one called Bigtop near the cut off you take to get to Busch Gardens not sure if it is from 75 or 275 but it is away from the direction to Busch Gardens

Von and I always do the flea markets in the area and just have a ball. Never see much here about it, so I am glad to share our second love in Disney area.

Local favorite is Osceola Flea Market about 10 miles straight east of Disney on 192....good tee shirt and lots of stuff flea market with genuine Kareoke in the middle! Weekends only and no A/C make it the real thing.

I would do the Mt. Dora Flea market second. Less traffic, easier drive and super antique place next door to OOOOH and AAAAAH at. Just search Mt. Dora Flea Market on Yahoo.

Mt. Dora the town has a great historic downtown to wander in for an hour or so.

Sanford is good, but lots of traffic....Ted

Thank you for your advice! Is mount Dora airconditioned? We will be going in August when it will be super hot and humid and the men in our group both have low heat tolerance! I know ther is one in Orlando that is supposed to have ac-would you know the one I am talking about and is it a good one?

A true flea market is hot, humid, sunny, dusty, filled with so much junk I don't need................................I love it....................Ted
