Is anyone familiar with the flea market on I-85 just south of the VA NC border? There are signs for miles proclaiming it to be HUGE with 800 stalls. Is it worth the drive for Dh and I to take a weekend and head down there? We love flea markets but have grown real tired of the the ones around here that area all cheap hip hop clothing, dolls and baseball cards. That's not what we are looking for. We like used furniture, household goods, farmers market kinda thing. If you know of one nearer to Newport News I'd like to hear about that too.

One last shameless bump. I really wanna know about this place. Anyone?

Can't help you with the specifics, but here's a website that has a list of many North Carolina flea markets. If you know the city/town, you can look up the particular market that you're interested in & can then see what is offered for sale, concessions, etc.

Happy Flea-ing,
agnes!

Agnes--link please! I don't have the vaguest idea what town it's in/near. All either of us remember is that we've seen the signs on I-85 on the NC side of the border. I think it's near JR's discount that's also advertised for miles and miles. We stopped there once. It was alright, nothing spectacular and that's what I'm afraid of with this flea market. We don't want to make that drive for your average flea market.
