We stayed at Towneplace Suites and would happily stay there again! We chose TownePlace over Springhill b/c Springhill only has a shower and no bath tub (we have a toddler). We were also impressed that they had a pack n play completely set up in our room before our arrival (didn't use it, but it was definitely thoughtful), and the bed was really comfy.
We drive to Disney, so I'm not sure about their transportation options, but the location is right outside one of the big Disney entrance signs, and it was super fast and easy to get there from the MK. As mentioned, there is nothing else around, so a car is helpful...
That said, we loved that the onsite restaurant/bar was open late. Food was decent, and they actually had some local craft beers. It was a nice way to unwind after a day in the parks.
Free breakfast was also nice, but like other places with free breakfast, it helps to get there a little earlier. It was pretty crowded, but not unmanageable, and they did promptly close it up at the stated end time.
