Flame Tree or Tusker House?

Which would you prefer for lunch at AK? Flame Tree or Tusker House? Would you change your mind if you had kids with you?

We LOVE Flame Tree!

Tusker House sounds good too, & we had planned on trying it this year. However, Flame Tree is so good, we're going back...

The open-air seating for Flame Tree beside the water is so nice & relaxing too. While we ate, the Character Barge w/ Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, & Pluto floated by w/ the characters dancing & waving to us.

The kids had happy meals from Restaurantasauras. DH had the ribs & fries, and I had a BBQ sandwich & fries. DH had piece of key lime pie for dessert, and I had a piece of yummy chocolate cake.

I didn't think our kids (ages 5 & 3) would like the food at Flame Tree. Oh, they probably would have been okay w/ it, but they LOVE McDonald's ( ). And, since I wanted them to be happy & have fun too, we got them happy meals from Restaurantasauras & then went to Flame Tree. (The kids ate their happy meals w/ us at Flame Tree.) Restaurantasauras is within easy walking distance of Flame Tree - especially if you're just carrying two happy meals.

(As an aside, the happy meals came w/ cute little dinosaur squirt guns which, since it was hot, was a very welcome toy! )

I'm sure the food from Tusker House is just as good, but we adore the atmosphere at Flame Tree! Our table right by the water was wonderful!

I actually prefer Tusker House, although Flame Tree is best for bbq.

We love the Flame Tree BBQ, with or without kids! We make it a must do every trip!

The rotisserie chicken at Tusker House is amazing for theme park food!
