Flame Tree BBQ @ AK

This is our favorite restaurant in the AK. I think that all the seating is outdoors. There is a dining pavilion that is in the back by the water. There may have been ceiling fans there.

Yeah, all of the seating is outdoors, in a terraced fashion leading down to the lagoon opposite Expedition Everest.

Be sure to sit at a covered spot, or a bird may try to "garnish" your plate like one did to me!

I have a question about this plave as well. I see it says it's seasonal. Does anyone know what month it opens than closes?
Can't wait to try this, in October, if we can. We were going to do it last june, but it was way too hot to be sitting outside. :earseek: We needed an AC break.

holcomb-mania - I had to laugh because this almost happened to us. We get ourselves settled at this nice table under a tree and then all of a sudden the bombs were dropping all around us. We grabbed our plates and ran to a table under cover!! We still laugh at how they almost got our food. It was a great meal though.

There are several enclosures with ceiling fans. The one by the lake is the best, because the character boat passes right by, and it seemed to have the least bird problems. The food at FTB was very good, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

That's the pavillion I always choose, and even though I hate the heat, and have had to go to WDW in May or June, it's always been cool enough sitting here. As far as it being open seasonally, it seems that whenever I go is the right "season"-May, June, November, December, and January. Although I haven't been in October, I kind of wonder if there's really any "season" when it's closed.

We've only gone in April but we always eat there. No bird probs yet!

Where did you see it was seasonal? They haven't been seasonal for almost 3 years now.

For the life of me, I can't seem to find it now. I could have sworn I saw it on Disney's actaully page. But glad to know that it's opened all the time now.
thanks! :Pinkbounc

After 9/11 Flame Tree cut back on when it was open because we missed it on several trips. Now it seems to be open much more.
