Flame Tree Barbecue review

We ate at Flametree on 10-11-07 and loved it. Surprising, our line wait was next to nothing and our food came up very quickly. DH had chicken and said it was great as usual, My Dad and I had the BBQ chicken salad and enjoyed it. When ordering the salad on the DDP you also get a side. Dad got fries and I got the onion rings. If you have never tried the onion rings....you are really missing out. Mom got the fruit plate and was impressed, though she thought the corn muffin was a bit dry. (Oh well, the ducks enjoyed it)PS... Hubby doesn't like baked beans, so I had no problem wolfing them down.

For desert...DH and I tried the frozen lemonade and were surprised by the size of this desert. Great flavor and refreshing on a hot day. Dad had choc. cake and Mom tried the keylime pie, which she said was nothing special..too tart for her.

All in all, I rank the Flametree as one of the best CS at WDW, right under Wolfgang Puck's Express at DTD.

I also love the BBQ chicken salad! There's so much chicken in there that after I while I just picked it all out, dipped it in sauce, and ate it that way.

Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdon

I heard various good and bad things about this place.

I thought it was very good. I had the ribs lunch-the ribs were good not too greasy not too fatty but they did have fat on them which to me is just fine for ribs!
The beans were bad though they weren't cooked through and were hard. The corn bread was very yummy like a corn bread muffin actually but no butter for it that I could find. They have condiments that include BBQ sauce.

The other adults had the turkey sandwich that looked good-she said it had a good deal of turkey and liked it a lot.
The other person had the bbq sandwich which he didn't like and gave it to the kids who loved it. They in turn gave him their chicken wings! Which he adored. Go figure.

We had those frozen lemonade things that were like mush. I had a frozen slush lemonade that was not packaged in AK and loved it but these packaged ones are not that great at all.

I would eat there again but only if it is cool weather which we had. The seating is ample and pretty but outside.

we love the flame tree!! i do miss the corn on the cob, but the little corn muffin they give now is soooo delicious!

The food tastes great and plenty of quality seating.. not just a chair and table. .. They really tried to theme the various sitting areas.
