have to buy our own and need advice.

thanks if anyone is on from Fl and buys insurance. Need best rate possible. Thanks

We use Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. It is about $500/month for Me and my 2 children, they will not cover my husband because of his size. They also charge my son double because of his Asthma.

If you are income eligible, Florida Kid Care is a great program then you just have to worry about insurance for the adults.

1) Low-Budget and Individual-Insurance not good in same sentence.
2) I know of no single-policy plan that is cheap.
. . . unless it has very limited coverage
. . . unless it has high deductibles
. . . unless some family members are not covered
3) Your best bet is to call a "multi-line" or "general" agent and ask for advice.

WARNING: Watch out for companies that offer a lot for a little. If it
sounds too good to be true, it usually is. There are lots of fakes out
there. These are companies that are "discount plans" and not true
insurance. If in doubt, do a Google and check out the company.

Take a look at www.ehealthinsurance.com They will show you a variety of plans that you can compare along with prices. They also rate many of them. I like that they show you the policies and let you compare different ones. You can also call them if you have questions and apply online.
