FL residents, do you have to buy tickets through Disney?

I am helping my aunt and cousin plan a trip in December and the cousin just moved to FL. Can FL residents buy tickets from discount brokers or do they have to buy though Disney? Are there any other tips for FL residents regarding tickets or booking hotels? Thanks!

You may also be able to purchase FL resident priced tickets through AAA if a member. I know they still sell all the FL resident seasonal/annual passes. They used to also sell the multi-day passes, but I haven't lived in FL in a long time now, so not sure if they still do that or not. Having a quick look online, it looks like you can get 3 or 4 day tickets at a FL resident rate from them.

One other thing to point out. Proof of FL residency is required to actually use a FL resident ticket, and that proof of residency is required for each ticket. So if your aunt does not live in FL, your cousin can buy a FL resident ticket for him/herself, but cannot buy a FL resident ticket on behalf of the aunt.

Understood, thanks!
