We will be coming to Universal next week from the northeast, as non-Florida residents. I've already secured our passes, but we also invited my daughter's best friend who recently moved to Florida to join us. She is old enough to need an adult ticket (14 years old) but not old enough to have any sort of official ID to show she is a Florida resident and her parents are just dropping her off at the hotel to stay with us. Does anyone know what kind of FL resident proof might be sufficient to show that she is a Florida resident? Will they definitely ask for it? Thanks! Excited for our first trip to Universal after being annual disney-goers for many years!

Are you staying at a Universal hotel? They have park planning desks and I am pretty sure you can buy tickets there. I'd have her parents run in with her to buy her ticket really quick. General rule of thumb is that the adult paying needs residency proof. You can try using a school id, but I'm not sure that'll work.

Does she not have a school ID with photo? Most high schools give those out nowadays. That would work.

Thanks ajsamett & DLgal! We are staying at Hard Rock, so I'll have to see if her parents can run in to buy or activate the ticket. At what checkpoints do they ask for ID? Can we activate the ticket at the hotel or does this happen at the gate (or guest services at the park)? I'll have to ask if she has a school ID with a photo - she is in middle school and not sure if they provide one. If so, hopefully that would be sufficient. And hopefully it would be clear I'm not trying to scam them, as all our other tickets will be non-resident tickets.

many of the Publix grocery stores in Orlando sell park tickets

Maybe the mom can buy her daughters park ticket for UO in advance at Publix?

Once a ticket has been used to enter the park, it is activated
