FL resident ID verification

I purchased park tickets for my parents who are FL residents. I did the online "ID verification" but it only asked for one person's info. Since I purchased tickets for both of my parents, can they just use their magic bands when they get to the park? The whole point of the online verification was to avoid having to stop at will call to show ID. Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!

We have been asked, when we get to the park entrance, to go to Guest Relations to show our Florida State ID (driver’s license). It’s only the first time you use the passes. It’s quick and painless.

And this is when you have verified online using the new ID.me process?

I'm not sure about that...?
Ok. It’s a new process and I’ve been working through it with my dad who is a very new Florida resident. The online system isn’t working for him just yet. But through all the convos I’ve had, they have stressed that he will not have to show any additional identification once at the gates.

Being a new process, I would be prepared to have to show his identification because you most likely will, even if you have been told differently numerous times. There is a big discrepancy between what they tell you over the phone as fact vs what happens at the gate. The fine print states you have to prove residency for each pass.

We have had the same Florida address for 30+ years and everyone in the family still has to show proof of residency when picking up tickets at the Will Call and at the hotels when checking in, in order to get a Florida resident discount.

If something has changed please let me know.

Yes they just added online
"Florida residents with any of the above listed identification can now verify their residency online, which means you can bypass Guest Relations and go straight to the parks! Simply fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form upon check-out when you purchase tickets through Disneyworld.com or complete the “Customize Your Tickets” step when you purchase through the My Disney Experience app."
But i too have the same question so i am going to follow. I was told i also need to pay for the hotel with a card that has the billing zip code from florida.

What is that for... a "Florida Resident hotel room?"

I just looked this up on Disney’s website and it does say you don’t need additional identification.
You can find the info under FAQ Proof of Florida Residency.

Wow. Thanks for the information.

I just realized that it doesn’t apply to us because we do not have a Florida license. When I pick up our tickets I have to show the other proof that is listed.

We had to do this the first time we had FL resident passes. It took an hour.

Did you verify their Florida ID directly on the Disney website? I can't seem to find any information on it. The website still states that Florida ID is required when using tickets for the first time at the gate? I know last week my daughter needed to show ID for activating her Florida annual pass. It is also known that each individual pass (age 18 and up must show ID). The person purchasing Florida Resident Children tickets must show ID and credit card (used to purchase tickets) the first time to activate tickets.

This has been the conventional procedure for years, and likely most CMs will say so unless and until any “new” procedures are fully in force and are taught to CMs.
I’m unsure if a “new” procedure is actually in force or is just be “tested” in a select few instances.

The information can found on disneyworld.disney.go.com. Go to Help Center-Frequently Asked Questions-Ticket Questions.
I will try to post the info.

Q.

What proof of residence will I need to provide in order to purchase a Florida Resident park ticket or annual pass?
A.

You’ll need to provide proof of a Florida residential address in order to purchase a Florida Resident park ticket or annual pass. For each ticket or pass purchased for an adult, you may provide any of the following:
  • Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
  • Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
  • Valid Florida-based military ID
*For your convenience, Florida residents with any of the above listed identification can now verify their residency online, which means you can bypass Guest Relations and go straight to the parks! Simply fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form upon check-out when you purchase tickets through Disneyworld.com or complete the “Customize Your Tickets” step when you purchase through the My Disney Experience app.
If you do not have one of the IDs indicated above, then you must provide one of the following—dated within the past 2 months—evidencing a Florida residential address, along with a corresponding picture ID (passport, driver's license, state identification card):
Proof of Current Mortgage
You may use a monthly mortgage statement from within the past 2 months; it may not be more than 2 months old. Deeds, mortgage contracts, mortgage payment booklets and leases are not accepted.
Bills, Policies or Registration
  • Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill
  • Current automobile registration, insurance policy or bill
  • Current Utility bill (power / phone / cable / water)
  • Bills can be no more than 2 months old (P.O. Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency)
Mail
  • Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings or investment account statements
  • Mail from federal, state, county or city government agencies
  • Mail can be no more than 2 months old (P.O. Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency)
Additional members of the same household must only provide proof of same residential address.
Current statements and bills printed from electronic versions are accepted, along with electronic bills provided via smart phones and tablet devices.
For more information, please call (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277—or use the Annual Passholder Help Form to email our dedicated Help Team with any questions you may have about your annual pass. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission t

Just an update to the above information. My husband and I (both Florida residents) just updated our Florida resident passes online. When I went to validate our residency online it only allowed information for one of us so I called Disney. The info from the first CM I spoke with didn’t make sense so I asked to speak with someone else. She connected me to the passholder department. Here is the correct information according to the CM. Each individual person who wants to validate their Florida residency online much have a separate Disney account. So, my husband would have to buy his ticket and validate Florida residency under his own Disney account and I would have to buy my ticket and validate Florida residency under my own Disney account.
Otherwise, you must go to guest services and show a valid form of identification for Florida residency.
This makes sense - each Florida resident - no matter who buys the tickets - must prove Florida residency.
OP - unless you have validated each of your parent’s Florida residency online they will have to go to Guest Services prior to going through the gates.

It says on the site if you are doing it for soneone else you must go to the ticket office. You can only validate yourself online on your account
