I was at WWoHP last week on Thursday. In line for FJ and someone came up behind my group and asked us "is this the Express Pass line?" Of coure we told him no and that we were under the impression that there was no EP for FJ. He then waved around his (handwritten) EP and said he had used one on FJ earlier that same day, then he just cut the line and disappeared.

So, are there Express Passes for FJ? If not, any idea where he got more than 1 set of Express Passes from? He had 4 people in his group.

Could have been an express pass that was given to him because the ride broke down (or there was some other issue) when he was on it and he gets to ride again without waiting in line.

I thought this was the case, but he kept saying that he had gone through the Express line earlier in the same day and I am not sure what the chances are that he got stuck on the ride 2x that day...since I rode it 6 times with no issues and the wait time sign was never over 30 min that day.

It could have been some other issue somewhere in the park and he was given express passes as compensation for something. Not sure if it could have been from a different day as well. He could also have been part of a large group of people who all got express passes for some reason and he is just using them up.

My first thought was that maybe he just wrote something on a piece of paper, when you said it was handwritten.

It's also strange that he has to ask where the express line is if he had used it earlier in the day.

I thought there was only the regular line, the single rider line (very well hidden, I have to say) and the "sightseeing line".

We thought he had just written it himself, too - but it was indeed an Express Pass, because when we got to the front of the Single Rider line a few minutes after our exchange, we saw his party getting onto the ride in the middle lane, which I assume was the Express lane.

The middle lane is for people who need the modified seats because of their size.

I agree with the others who think it was probably a pass for ride breakdown. I don't know about Universal, but some parks give you more than one, depending on the circumstances. We got two each at Busch when we were stuck at the top of the second SheiKra hill for quite a while in a driving rainstorm.

Didn't know that - he definately boarded from that line, and no one in his party appeared to need modified seating to me.
