Sure can, IMO it's the best of both worlds if you want to guarantee a room size and view. We bought a fixed week in December, one bedroom, lake view.

VGF and VWL will become our MK resorts and BWV is our Epcot/DHS resort.

I understand the logic behind the fixed week and I myself would even consider it (if my DW would go along) but is there any other possible way that WDW has not figured out how to seperate you and I from our money ??

Fixed weeks points cost the same as non fixed week points. The only catch is that you have to buy 10% extra points. We always need extra points anyway so it really doesn't matter to us.

We plan to convert the fixed week to regular points each year unless the the lake views are booked. We then have a fixed week, one bedroom, lake view guaranteed.

Most if not all other timeshares only offer fixed weeks.
