Five in Beach Club studio

As I am sure you know, BC studios now sleep five. I was there in September and can swear to it! However, in booking a studio for June, the online booking will only accept four people. I asked a DVC executive about this at the Safari Spectacular, and he suggested providing only four names on the reservation until the website is updated. Has anyone else dealt with this? How would you handle it? As it gets closer to June, we will want five on Magical Express and five fastpasses. Thanks in advance for your insights!

They won't allow booking 5 until all studios are through refurb, because there's no bookable view, and they can't vary the inventory on which ones sleep 4 vs. 5.

If you book for 4 and hope they'll have everything adjusted i system for 5 by June, it seems like they ought to be done with the refurb by then, but there is a risk that they don't.

Was just there in a 1BR and have done the same for Spring Break with a DS. Seriously, how long can this take as they started in the Spring/early Summer. Regardless, we are going but one may have to be on floor and booking FPs 30 days out (AP) vs. 60.

Booked PVB and VGF combo as a backup for now while we play the wait and see game. Either way, I think we will split to two locations for the fun depending on what happens!

Does anyone have any idea when all the studios are scheduled to be finished?

I'm hoping to book a studio for August.

I just got off the line with MS (as I have a Spring Break booking). They are saying that it is all done now and they are just waiting for the IT folks to update the booking system to allow five so we will see soon!

Book with 4 now and add one later. If you wait you may not be able to secure a reservation.

Just be aware, if you have 4 or 5 adults, there may be a small coffee maker. That's what we had last month, and when we called and requested a full size coffee maker, we were told they didn't have any more. The coffee makers say they make 4 cups, but with the mugs in the studios, you'll only get 2 1/2 cups. Just FYI if morning coffee is a big thing to you.
