I was wondering what everyone's experience has been with crowds in the fitness center. Is it pretty busy in the morning?? If I showed up around 7:30 is there a line for the treadmills?? I really want to enjoy all the great food on our cruise, so I am going to have to exercise every day! Just wondered if anyone had any advice on the best times to go into the fitness center.

I haven't cruised DCL but have cruised other cruise lines. I have found that when we go early in the morning as you propose, we have not had a problem getting on a machine. If my DH and I do not get a machine, then we usually just take a couple of laps around the walking deck and make that our exercise. A great view and good exercise! :goodvibes

We walked through the fitness center one day and it wasn't busy. I had planned to exercise while on board but never made it. It really did feel good to take a break from my regular exercise. We just used the stairs and walked deck 4.

Sea days tend to be a little busy, but it really depends on your cruise. I've had to wait a few minutes on occasion for a treadmill, but not over 3-5 minutes. I can usually find something else to do while I'm waiting.

Equipment was always available when we looked, but it was useless to us since DS, 17, wasn't allowed in. He was a high school Varsity baseball player at the time and wanted to keep his program up, but no one under 18 is allowed to use the equipment (except for 1, 30 minute session with the kids clubs the entire cruise, and it was during late seating, which is what we had)
