My son just loves to fish! Has anyones kids taken the Jr fishing expedition?
I can't seem to find much info on it, it seems rather expensive at about $29 for one hour of fishing. I just can't see to find much information about it and would sure appreciate some!

I dont know any details, but if your kids are pretty simple and you are looking for cheap, I know there are a few areas you can get a pole for like $3.00 for the hour and just fish off the dock. Let me know if you want more info on it and I will look it up in my book.

I saw that we could rent cane poles over at Ft. Wilderness, my son would really love to be able to fish from a boat.
I wonder if we can rent one of the boats, with my DH driving it and use the rented poles from FT. Wilderness? Maybe I will have to look into that when we get down there.

Our son did the childrens fishing excursion last August. He liked it so well that he wants to do it again next month. He went out with two other children. He is very shy, but really seemed to enjoy himself! He liked telling his tales of "the one that got away"! Now that I think about it, I better call and get him a reservation! Good luck!

My boys have done the kids fishing trip on several times....The have had a great time. They have taken the one out of the Contemporary and the one from the Yatch club and enjoyed both. I think if you kids like to fish they will have a blast. My kids caught over 30 fish in one hour on one trip! My son is disappionted he will be to old on the next trip for the kids fishing.... He is saving up for the private fishing excursion.

DH and I used to rent the canoe from the bike barn at Ft. Wilderness along with fishing poles.... we were thinking of trying it with our girls when we go down in Sept/Oct if time permits! :)

PORiverside offers cane pole fishing

From the DIs website ; Besides swimming, there are many other "water-related" activities to be found here. Fish for catfish, bluegill and bass at the Fishin' Hole, a catch and release pond. A 2 hour guided fishing excursion down the Sassagoula River, can be reserved at Guest Services. The use of rods, reels, tackle and a beverage are included in the fee.

From WDW website
Dockside Outings
Roll up your pant legs and hunker down for a day of fishing - the old fashioned way. Find your ideal spot, cast out your line and enjoy some dockside Cane Pole Fishing.

Dockside Fishing is available, without advance reservations, at the following Resort locations:

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

Ok, I am assuming they provide the poles, bait and such. Drinks?
What are the times this is available? It sounds like something my son would love, He would want to take pictures and have a big brag..LOL

I will have to look into this further..

Thanks for the replys, keep them comming if you have more info/experience with this.
