Fishing at POR?

I think I remember reading that you can rent cane poles and fish at POR or POFQ. If you're staying at POR, can you fish at POFQ??? My dad can't wait to take my son fishing and since he's going with us in October, I thought it'd be neat if they rented cane poles and fished together at WDW! Any thoughts or info?? Thanks!

Since POR AND POFQ are sister resorts, yes you can stay at one and fish at the other.

We went fishing there last year. My boys enjoyed it and even each caught a small fish. However to catch these fish, we had to take the bait and literally hit the fish in the heads with it to make them bite. They were all around, but just not too hungry. It's a very pretty setting too so grownups can enjoy it too.
