Fisher Price Stand ’n Ride Duo Stroller

I had a stroller similar to this a few years ago that I believe was made by Graco. It was convenient for me at the time (my girls are 2 yrs, 9mos apart), but it was very heavy. I think it would be good if you are driving to the parks or staying at a monorail resort, but would be a major pain if you have to take it on a bus.

We're staying off site and driving. I wondered how it would be on the trams though. It's really big.

It looks pretty cool. I like the versatility of it but I wonder how heavy it is.

I really want one of these but can't find them in any stores to test one out. Actually, I haven't seen them for sale online anywhere either for that matter. Have you been able to see one irl? My daughter never used a stroller till her brother was born and now she asks to every now and then so I want something I can use for her but definitely not a double stroller. And the Sit n Stand was so heavy I was hoping the FP version would be lighter. We tried the Peg Perego Pliko P3 but my daughter had a hard time standing on the back cause the canopy was right in her face (she's 2.5yo and 37in.).

Yes, I saw them at Babies R Us today. The girl that helped me with it said they had 3 left and that they were having a hard time keeping them in stock.

They're really big... but really nice. I think I'm going to go take the girls up there tomorrow and test drive it to see if I want it or not.

Our BRU had the other FP Active Gear a couple of months ago but never the Stand & Ride Duo and now the other one has been gone since then too. Thanks though, I'll check again and maybe they have some in.

I have something similar-the Joovy Caboose. I used it at WDW about 2 weeks ago. I do like the drink holder on the model you're looking at! Mine does not have one, but does have netting on the back of the seat to store cups.

Here's what I found......I have a dd 15 mos (~22 lbs), and ds 4.5 years (~40-45 lbs). When both kids were in the stroller, it was harder to push (say 25 lbs empty stroller + 40 lbs ds+25 lbs dd= around 90 lbs to push). Not impossible, but going up hills and ramps especially at the end of the day was not fun. The other thing that drove me nuts was when people jumped in front of me or stopped. This thing was exactly easy to stop quickly or start up again with both kids on board. We stayed at CR so the monorail was a bonus. We didnt need to fold it up. However, riding the buses was not fun with this thing. It weighs around 25 lbs (and thats without the basket filled. I added a side bag to hold ponchos and a rain cover too). My dad carried dd on the bus while I dealt with the stroller. On mine, the wheels lock when folded up so you have to pick it up vs rolling it along. If the bus was crowded, it was not easy lugging this thing past people without banging into them. It also took up a lot more space in the aisle and aside of me.

Other than that, it was cheaper for us to buy vs rent for our stay. Both kids spent most of the time in it so it was handy. I did love going back to my Mac Quest when we got home. Soooo much easier. I did see many Joovys at WDW though. If I had to do it again, I might consider driving my own car to the non-monorail parks with that stroller.

I live near the Fisher Price factory and they have a store. I just called them and they don't have it. I have heard they took it off the market to make improvements but I don't know how true that is.

I never used a sit and stand type stroller..although this one looks pretty nice...I would definitely try it out with both children in it..and fold it up and carry it around to see how heavy it is. Also if the baby is asleep in the main seat the other child wouldn't be able to sit or stand in the back right? I could be wrong though???
What about getting a cheap but nice side by side double? at least then both kids would have a seat at all times???

I have a very similar stroller I just got from target for $120 my two little ones really like it but fight over who is sitting where. its worth the money esp. for my 5 yr old who gets really tired walking

A PP was right, they were supposed to take them all off the market. They were only sold for about 1 month and then they were found faulty. That is why no stores have them anymore (or they shouldn't!) They are supposed to come back out with the new improved version soon! They are very cool!

I have a Swan Sit N Stand (discontinued, but similar to the link below) and it is VERY heavy to push w/ both kids in it. And when there's only one child in the front, which of coarse you're more likely to have a child in the front at all times since that is the younger one, there isn't any weight in the back so it's difficult to turn - the back sort of skids sideways while the front doesn't move. It's also LARGE. I have a minivan, and this stroller has to sit on it's side and completely takes up all the cargo space. And it's heavy when folded up.

I bought this stroller off eBay, new, for a vacation I was taking w/ my then 11month old and 3 yr old. Dh wasn't going, and I knew we'd be spending a lot of time on the boardwalk and beach. Ended up not arriving until after we got home from the vacation and I have very rarely used it due to everything I mentioned above. I do not like this stoller at all. At the time, it had rave reviews as there weren't many strollers of this kind on the market. I heard a woman next to us at the zoo saying to her friend she wanted a stroller like mine and I told her not to get it.

Models now are much nicer, so maybe they're better. Definately find one at a store and try it out with both kids before buying. Try all the positions - front seat reclined w/ dd on the back, only one child in the front, etc. That's one thing that's great about BabiesRus. Even take it out to the car to see how much room it takes up in your trunk. I once had to return a double stroller (no, I don't have much luck w/ strollers, lol) b/c it wouldn't fit in our trunk. I had to barrow a car to take it back, lol.

Good luck!

Well, I ended up buying this stroller on Saturday.

Annnd... I took it back on Sunday. LOL

We have a Town and Country mini-van and with that stroller in the back, there was no room for anything else. It is a nice stroller, but the size is a huge drawback.
I also thought it was hard to push. We have a 22 lb 9 month old and a 28 lb 3 year old. So it's not a ton of weight. I just really wasn't pleased with it.

I figure we'll just take the Maclaren for the baby and rent a double for the other 2 kids.
