Hi
i recently am on a special diet of Fish or chicken ( no red meat and no fried food)

When we go to DLR, we will only be eating snacks or quick/counter service. no sit down meals.

now i have to re-think my choices, as most of my picks i should not eat ( i was soo looking forward to trying the corn dog, and the plaza fried chicken.... )

So my question is this.

1) Are there ANY fish quick service / counter service offerings in DCA or DL?

2) what non-fried chicken options do you suggest from quick/counter service? some that i know of are the Chicken bowls in lucky fortune, Chicken skewers in Paradise gardens, chicken Verde at Cozy Cone, chicken skewers at Bengal. any other options?

Both of the Mexican restaurants have very nice grilled chicken plates (Rancho del Zocalo in DL and Cocina Cucamonga in DCA). Many restaurants (TS and CS) have salads with grilled chicken and some offer wraps with grilled chicken. I do love the chicken skewers at Bengal BBQ. Overall, there are MANY non-fried, non red meat options for you at DLR.

Seconding the chicken at Rancho del Zocalo. I believe Cucina Cucamonga has the same entree.

Bengal BBQ are my favs.

French Market used to have a fish option...nut sure of current menu.

If you’re coming anytime in the next few weeks, be aware that Paradise Garden Grill has a different menu to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Otherwise their chicken skewers are great which you know about and twice the size of those at Bengal Barbeque.

Smokejumpers Grill next to Soarin’ has a grilled chicken salad as does Jolly Holiday. Flo’s has a rotisserie chicken meal if you’re able to eat some darker meat. Also Earl of Sandwich has ok salad options.

Fish options at QS DLR restaurants is typically tilapia which isn’t even worth eating IMO. Tangaroa Terrace at DLH has some pretty decent options. I enjoy their shrimp tacos, and DH really likes the chicken teriyaki bowl. They have chicken salads and an Ahi Poke which I haven’t tried so can’t quite recommend.

ETA: I was just checking out the La Brea Bakery Cafe menu for a future family meal and happened to notice Mahi-mahi and salmon options.

I was going to vote for the skewers at Paradise Grill.

Bengal BBQ has some good ones. You can ask for them “sauce free”. Tortilla Joes has some great fish dishes.

You can get baked chicken instead of friend at Plaza Inn. It's pretty good. You just have to ask them for it separately.

If you're up for a non-meat option, the Veggie Tater Bake at Flo's was excellent when I tried it this summer.

There's the smoked turkey leg. It's huge but really delicious. Available in both parks.
