Fish Camp to L.V in December, best route?

We'll be driving from Fish Camp to Las Vegas in December.
Wondering who has done this or part thereof and and has a route to guide us through.
Obviously we're not sure what the weather will be like but the plan is to do it in a day with no long stops (rest stops and lunch only).

So which way, and how long are we looking at?

Where is fish camp located? Depending on the weather from fish camp which I am thinking towards yosemite, coming down the mountain if it is snowing it could take a while. But the best route take 99 to Los Angeles, then 58 to Barstow and the 15 all the way into Las Vegas. If weather is clear about 8 to 9 hour drive.

It's just out of Yosemite at the south end, sit's on the 41.

I have no idea of the best way to tackle this

Taking highway 41 takes you all the way down to highway 99 and then see above directions. Like I said it all depends on the weather in yosemite. I live in Sacramento

Fish Camp has several lodging options including Tenaya Lodge. It's on California 41 just south of the south entrance to Yosemite NP.

Actually - the way down 99/58/15 is the fastest way any time of year. Even when Tioga Pass is open, that's the fastest way. There's maybe a 200 mile stretch where there's no means to get past the Sierra Nevada by road. Going north then back south is shorter (if Tioga Pass is open) but then it's narrow and winding, plus there could be delays going through Yosemite.
