First week of November, do we need express?

Hey guys,

Still researching, we are thinking about a 2 day universal turnaround trip. just in, boom and gone. Don't know where we are staying.

Depending on how busy it would be, we could maybe swing RPR over Cabana Bay if using the express would be a big improvement, otherwise we'll save a few sheckels.

I doubt you will need them. We went in November last year and didn't need them.

Heck we are here now and doing fine without them.

That time of years you probably can't go wrong with either hotel. If the price difference is small I'd probably go for RPR. You probably won't need Express Passes but they are always nice. Make sure to check out the Annual Pass Holder rate. You may save enough on the hotel to more than pay for the upgrade in tickets. On Universal's site use the code APH to check it out.

"Need" and "want" may not be the same thing. I agree that you don't need them then. However, we've loved having it even during the off-season. There are many times it's useless. And other times it saved us just a little. But - since we're a family with kids who like different things - it is so nice to not have to worry about long lines. If my husband or I want to take off for Dragon Challenge or Hulk or something else that the kids won't do or aren't tall enough for, at least we know we won't be gone that long. We have found that it saved us a nice chunk of time at some point during the day - but that was due to us not worrying about touring smart. If we hadn't had express, then we would have toured differently and still been fine. It was nice to not have to worry about it though. (Also, I have a child with sensory issues so it's nicer to have a shorter line for that reason too. I realize we could probably get a guest assistance card or whatever Universal calls it, but we prefer not to).
