We're planning a trip next year, but I'm not sure WHEN. If you were given the option of a March 6-11 or a May 16-20, which would you choose and why.

May for two good reasons.
Less likely to be during major rehabs that finish mid March.
Warmer and drier.

Both periods have low crowds and short hours with limited entertainment.

One negative for May would be the small possibility they finish up projects in DCA and high crowds show up.

One downside to your May dates is that there will be Grad Nights on May 17 and 18. According to info currently available, the 2012 event includes admission to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure during regular operating hours, and a private party in Disneyland after the park closes to the public for the night. So you will share the Parks with lots of high school students on Thursday and Friday. -- Suzanne

^^^Why would this not make much difference.

With short hours already, the grad parties don't cut any hours of the schedule.

Also being May and not June schools are still in session and students have class.

Starting in 2012, you are right that the Grad Nights no longer cut into the park hours. However, I would want to know that there will possibly as many as 30,000 high school seniors in the Parks during the day, although that number is probably on the high side for a Thursday in May. That might impact my choice of when to go. - Suzanne

Lots and lots and LOTS of local teenagers during the day in May and early June. LOTS.

We are planning the first full week of March. We are also planning on rain, but we LOVE Disneyland in the rain. We take ponchos and extra shoes. :goodvibes
