Magic Bands

I love the Magic Bands, even though they did not open our room when we tried them. We are staying at The Boardwalk Villas. They are easy and convenient. You get used to them. Feels like a watch and it shapes to your wrist. My son loves being able to open the door and scan his band. They have worked flawlessly after the initial minor issue. Big win for Disney here.

FP+

I have mixed feelings. I used to get 6-9 FP- per day but I also ran around a lot and missed rides with my family because I was off getting FP-. It is a much more relaxing experience with FP+. If I had to go to a kiosk to reserve my FP+ then I would not be happy but it's a perk of staying on site. I have adjusted on the fly and there has been no problem with changing times or experience. Minor issues with app which sometimes will not let you make changes but you just keep trying. FP+ is probably a plus for my family.

We have ridden everything we wanted to and more but we hit early magic hours and late magic hours. Left MK at 2:15 Sunday night and 12:15 Monday night. 8 EMH at EPCOT this morning. We relax in the afternoons.

I felt the same way in December...loved the bands...jury still out on FP+. Once I see what it does to wait times and lines that will be the real test.

We also loved the magic bands during our December visit. We had no problems. We also liked the FP+. We always do morning EMH and we didn't miss the mad rush for fast passes. we had time to get on rides using stand by and really enjoyed the slower pace.

Interested to see what the lines look like for our upcoming trip in a few weeks. now that Annual Pass Holders and some off site hotels have magic bands now.
