So we are pulling our Jayco 1207 pop-up from KY to the Fort in October. Arriving on the 8th leaving on the 15th. Me, Dh, son8,grandson8,granddaughter6. We will be visiting MK 3days &AK 1 day. Spending 2 days just at FWCG. My DH is disabled, had 2 back surgeries and has drop foot so walking a lot at the campground after walking all day at MK is not ideal. Is it really necessary to have a golf cart if we are in the 1500 loop to make it to the marina for the boat and to get to places to eat? Any recommendations would be appreciated...

Congrats on planning your first trip!!! How exciting! Loop 1500 is super close to a lot of the action at the Meadows and it is a small loop, so not a far walk to the bus stop to get to the Settlement (the restaurant and marina) or Outpost (the external buses to everywhere else). Seems to me like you wouldn't need a cart if you're at 1500 and that would be ideal! However...there is no loop guarantee, and if you end up over at the 2000 loop it could be a much farther walk to the bus stop and not as convenient to the action at the Meadows.
