Good afternoon all! I have decided to scrap my upcoming WDW trip, and go to the Land. I have been to WDW many times, and despite being stationed in California for ~ 3 years, I have never been to the land. SO, what do I need to know? Dining reservations are 60 days out? Where are must eats?
I pretty much have a list of rides unique to DL that aren't in the World; we are staying off site at a good neighbor hotel (the Tropicana).
Any advice will be a great help!

Thanks; I did not see it earlier when I looked or I would not have posted this.

Hydroguy's thread for WDW vets is a great place to start. Start reading through it and come on back with any questions! You're going to have a great trip!

You've probably already found the "sticky thread" titled "* DLR Info/Links - Maps, Hotels, DISer Reviews, Hydroguy's tips, NEWBIE INFO here!" by now, but if not, I wanted to draw your attention to it. The Disneyland board has several "sticky" threads maintained by our awesome moderators. A sticky thread means that the thread stays there all the time. (This thread, by comparison will move to page 2,3, 4, etc. as time goes by and no new responses are added, but the Sticky threads will always be the first threads found at the top of page one.)

The NEWBIE INFO thread contains all of Hydroguy's informative posts including the WDW Vet info post along with posts about weather patterns and when to visit. There are also links to threads about which hotel to pick, maps and transportation, and lots of information about dining. It's a wonderful resource for someone whether they are a WDW vet or completely new to Disney parks.
