First Trip to Disneyland

I am going to be making my first trip to Disneyland soon and I can't wait but I would like to get some tips from those who have been there before. I have been to Disney World a number of times in the past. My plans so far are to fly to LAX from YYZ (Toronto) on august 13th at about 11:00 local time. I will be satying at the Disneyland hotel until the 17th when I will be departing for the Panama Canal Cruise on the Disney Magic.
