First Trip To Disney April 27th-May 1st.

Planning my family's first trip to Disneyland for April 27th - May 1st. What can I expect weather wise? Can I expect to be able to swim in the hotel pool or is it to cool for that? Is it a busy time, will the parks be packed? Any suggestions/Tips for a first timers would be awesome!

Also, there were a lot of disappointed (in some cases irate) people on this forum last year in March-May because of the inordinate amount of refurbs. This is likely to repeat next year.

If you are aware of all of these issues then you will better be able to manage your expectations.
