Hi-----was wondering what the best places to eat are.....most memorable things to do etc. when it's just you and the hubby----we've never been down there without the kids.....so any thing that you think we would enjoy as 2 rather than 7 would be appreciated. I am already looking forward to eating in Japan in Epcot.......... and the packing should be MUCH easier........ :rotfl2:

WOW! Have a great trip!! I've never been without the kids, but I think if we did go I would want to try out some of the places I've heard about like Jelly Rolls where you wouldn't go if you were with the kids. I think if I had time I would check out some of the resorts too. I hear you about the packing! I went in Aug. with only 2 of my 5 kids and I was so excited to have extra space in the luggage so I could bring more clothes/shoes for myself. What a treat!! Have a fantastic trip!!!

Hey we are going too without the kids, a last minute idea for our anniversary. We also have 5 kids. This will be first time in 33 years of marriage to go without them. No one here wants to talk with us about our trip! As far as resturants my hubby is very picky so we stick with very basic food. I imagine a lot of burgers and hot dogs in our future.
I am so excited I can hardly stand it! We have been blessed to go to a Disney park almost every year, I think we have missed 4 years because of 3 kids births. We just upgraded to CR concierge today, but I am not telling the kids yet. We stayed in there in July and they love it as much as we did.
Our kids ages are 32G,30B,25G,21G,19B.
Thanks for letting me spill over here! :cheer2: :wizard: :Pinkbounc

mlholster - why would you tell the kids about the concierge? Enjoy!

My DH and I went 3 times before having kids - once after engagement, once for honeymoon, and once before moving to Hawaii (Marine Corps assignment). Okay - once while I was expecting DS and we were living on Oahu, but it was only for conference and we didn't go to parks (I was 3 months along, really not great, and it was exceptionally hot and humid).

We enjoyed the Mannequin's night club at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island one night. Honeymoon. We're not big night club folks, but it was really neat!

Look into an Illuminations Cruise - we did one one year for new years' eve. The concierge booked us on Breathless. The park (Epcot) was literally elbow to elbow with people (they closed the park) and there we were, on a speed boat, sipping champagne (okay, kids were there but they loved it) and it was so nice.

We love to go w/o the kids (our kids are 25, 23, and 17 and 5 year old grandson).........we eat leisurely dinners, lounge around in resort lobby areas,
stop for a drink at some of the resorts lounges (Territory Lounge at WL, Victoria Falls at AKL, River Roost at POR (the piano player, Bob Jackson, is great) go for a relaxed breakfast. We're going in October for F & W with another couple and have plans to try Jellyrolls one evening and also I've heard the guy at POFQ lounge (Elliot Dyson) is excellent entertainment also.
