Hi all

Planning our first trip to Universal this Christmas, 1 week in HRH then onto WDW for another 2 weeks :cool1:. I'm trying to get an idea of the types of rides and compare them to Disney, particularly for DS. I would think the the big coasters have no direct comparison, so that'll probably be just DD and I. He likes Soarin, Star Tours, Test Track, TSM, Buzz and Big Thunder Mountain. Also loves the shows, particularly Inidiana, Lights, Motor Action, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. He doesn't like EE (the backwards part), RNR (upside down), SM (too rough and dark). I've done a list based on my research so far and would really appreciate some input/advice. Also if anybody has any ideas on things not to miss, that would be great

Universal - Disney
Shrek 4-D - Mickeys Philharmagic
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
Universal Music Plaza
Transformers: The Ride 3D - Star Tours
TWISTER… Ride It Out
Revenge of the Mummy - RNR
Beetlejuice’s Graveyard Revue
Disaster! A Major Motion Picture Ride… Starring YOU - Backlot tour
Fear Factor Live
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack - Buzz/TSM
The Simpsons Ride - Star Tours
The Incredible Hulk Coaster
Doctor Doom’s Fearfall
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man - Star Tours
Me Ship, The Olive
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges - Kali
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls - Splash M
Pteranodon Flyers
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
Flight of the Hippogriff - BTM
Dragon Challenge
Ollivander’s Wand Shop
The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Stunt Show - Indiana Jones
The Mystic Fountain
Poseidon’s Fury
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! - Transit Authority

wow what a fabulous holiday!! :) in my opinion, I would say that The Mummy is more similar to EE, not RnRC as it doesn't go upside down, other than that I think you've got it pretty much covered :goodvibes

Just noticed your dates - no we go home the day before you arrive. Have a great time!

Thanks for posting the link and the comparisons.

I'm sure it will come in handy to many people.
:thumbsup2
