I leave in 2 days for the road trip down to Orlando with my DH for our 10th Anniversary adventure of a life time!

Eight days ago my DH said to me, "Let's go to Disney for our anniversary before I leave for Canada on the 29th." I looked at him and said "Yeah, Ok! Can we do that with so little time to plan?"

So for the last 8 days, I have been researching WDW for 18 hours a day non stop. I have read and reread Everything I can think of to plan my first trip to the world without knowing anything 8 days ago.

We gathered our finances and figured what we could afford and and I called AAA 3 times to get quotes for the same time period, same tickets and same options. First call my agent added an option I didn't want and it was a little more then I wanted to pay. Second call, I got a quote I liked, But I had to wait for the money to get into my account to pay. ( I hoped it wouldn't take long.) The third call, I booked my tickets, resort and dining.

I am Very glad I finially got everything settled, because i think i would have drove my DH crazy if he had to listen to me question about when the money should be there or if we should use our savings first and pay back our savings after the money arrives.

We are booked 3 nights/4 days. We are staying at Pop Century (hopefully 1980) Jan 16-19. We have a 4 day MYW with dining and waterparks and more package. With 4 park and 4 days, we figured didn't need to worry about hopping.

After the tickets were finiallized, we sat down to figure out which park which day. 16th MGM, 17th Animal Kingdom for the day and evening then ADR for Chef Mickey @ 9:pm then off to Pleasure Island if time permits. 18th Epcot and Blizzard Beach, 19th Magic Kingdom and ADR for Crystal Palace (6:15)

I can't believe I allowed Magic Kingdom to be last on our agenda. That is the one park I want to see the most. That is ok, More to look forward to.

I have a Steno pad full of lists, packing for DH, for me, for my day pack and for DH's day pack. I have lists of restaurnts I want to try, places I want to see, things i need to buy, pictures I want to take ( even though I don't know what to expect), list for last minute packing, a List of things I need to buy before we leave, Things to locate (cord to cooler/fridge) and things to take my mind off the fact that I will forget something and I will still have an AMAZING time at the Happiest place on earth.

Tonight, I wanted to find out something new, something about WDW that i haven't read yet. I searched the boards for topics i hadn't read that would quench that desire, but to no avail. I thought, if you are so antsy for something to do or see, write your pre-trip report.

So here I am writing a report that I can use later in my scrapbook when I return. Though I would still like to find something else I don't know yet.

I can't tell you how excited I am to be going to WDW. I have dreamed of this since I was knee-high-to-a-grasshopper. I LOVE Mickey. I have been jealous of Minnie forever.

10 and a 1/2 Years ago, I finially realized I could never be with one I wanted. He was very famous and his heart belonged to someone else. I knew I would never make him as happy as his true love, so I moved on.

I found a wonderful person who understood my broken heart and helped me to mend my broken heart. 10 years ago we were married and we have been very happy together. :)

I never got over Mickey. Who could? DH understands that I want to meet him. My friends tell me I'm not allowed to run away with Mickey on this vacation. :rolleyes1: Maybe the next one. ;)

I have created my own Autograph book and bought some "fat" pens at a dollar store. I have my digital camera ready to go, SD card is blank and ready to fill up. I am bringing my lap top so I can DL my pictures nightly so I have a fresh Card every day. This way I will be able to take a gazillion pictures of my first love.

Sounds like you're in for an awesome anniversary!! :thumbsup2 We spent our 5th wedding anniversary there in 2005 & it was wonderful - we're also planning on spending our 10th there. Have a wonderful trip!! :)
