First timers--wrapping up a fantastic week at UO

My kids and I (dd 13 & dd 12) just spent a fantastic week at Universal--it definitely exceeded expectations. We had never been before. Have been to WDW several times, but never for more than two nights. Everything was so easy, crowds were light, Cabana Bay was fantastic, and service was excellent. All of our meals were great.

Highlights were:

Volcano Bay--I was skeptical but we spent two mornings at VB and had a blast. No waits and the lazy river and the fearless river were fun. Plus it was so easy to get to from Cabana Bay.

Frozen butterbeer--ds thought it was amazing.

Dessert at Toothsome--so good and really not that expensive given portion size.

Florean Fortescue's--salted caramel blondie ice cream was so good.

Rides--MiB, mummy, hulk, and Escape from Gringotts were our favorites. I didn't care for rip ride rocket (headache) or forbidden journey (made me sick). We did the water rides at IoA and I liked them but dd wasn't a fan.

Cabana Bay--buses to and from citywalk were so convenient, Bayliner diner was excellent (loved the refillable cups), rooms were nice.

Citywalk restaurants--we did the movie and meal deal and ate at margaritaville (very good) and ate at Bubba gump (food was good and service was great).

All in all it was a great way to end the summer.

Also Tony Hinds was excellent. Answered emails very promptly and is super friendly. I would highly recommend him.

Hi so glad you are wrapping up a great week. We are back over a month now and I miss it so much. We stayed at CBBR and enjoyed it very much as well as VB. We will be heading back down next June and can't wait. We use Tony also and have been for years he is the best. I agree with all your highlights.

We love Cabana Bay and I enjoy it when I hear that others do too. I can't wait to go back and will definitely stay at Cabana Bay again.
