Hey everybody. We just got back from a wonderful first trip to disney world. We were on the dining plan and stayed for 8 nights which gave us 16 table service, counter service and snacks for our party. I went with DBF and DD3.
I'm posting reviews of the following eateries:

Ohana's dinner
Cinderella's royal table dinner

Counter service:
Tusker house restaurant

I'll try to post pics with some. I forgot to take a lot of pics. I'll give each a rating of 1-10, with 10 being the best.

CHEF MICKEY'S DINNER- rating 8 :)
I made an ADR for chef mickeys at 9:10pm for dinner. I know this is late, but I wanted to take a good rest at Pop Century before we ate since we would be at AK most of the day. I also figured that the restaurant wouldn't be too busy and we'd get the characters to ourselves. Well, I kinda regret it. I should have made it for 8:30ish instead. We got very lost the first few days of our vacation. We were driving our own car and it takes a while to get used to disney road signs. We left Pop around 8:20pm. We ended up inside the magic kingdom parking lot instead of the resort area. We eventually found the Contemporary but it was around 9:25 by the time we arrived. The one and only rude CM was here at the podium. I apologized about being late as I knew the restaurant was closing soon and she told us that the tables were already being cleared. She also told us that we could eat but probably wouldn't get to meet any of the characters since they had to leave at 10pm. She had an attitude and was kind of ticked off. I told her ok, since we had plenty of time to catch the characters at the parks and I also had an ADR for Garden Grill in 2 days. I also requested a booth and she told me she couldn't do it. Then our picture was taken while we waited for our table. The picture came out horrible and I would never buy it especially for the price. When we finally made it to our table, we put our stuff down and went to the buffet. There was very few choices. It was small. They just repeated the selection of foods as you walked down the buffet line. :sad2: I got the prime rib, some parmesan mashed potatoes, and some side items. It was just ok,it wasn't very hot, just warm. The mashed potatoes were good, but I've made parmesean mashed potatoes at home and they came out better. They had these other potatoes too which were very good. The desserts were ok.
DBF and DD3 liked the food well enough. The lady at the podium was wrong because Mickey, Goofy and Pluto visited our table. They were awesome. Then came the lady who handles the characters. She asked if we saw them all and we told her we haven't seen minnie or Donald. She made sure they visited us at least 3 times each. She was the best! DD3 loves minnie. Right before they left, we even snapped a pic with my family and pluto, minnie and Goofy all together. It was great! My dd3 wanted an apple after dinner and they already put the food away. The chef went out of his way to get her one and made her happy. Here's the link to some pics:

CORAL REEF CANDELIGHT PACKAGE DINNER- rating 10
I LOVED the coral reef. It was excellent. I was worried after all the negative reviews, but it was great. Despite there being a lot of people waiting for a table in the lobby area, we were seated in about 3 minutes. We got a table on the middle level and the view of the tank was very good. First we got our appetizers. I had the Ceasar salad and DBF had the shrimp coctail. The nice server explained everything to us in detail. The salad was very good but it was like 1 big leaf, not your average lettuce. The shrimp was also very good. :thumbsup2 . We also had bread and butter which my daughter loved.
Next we both had steak with potatoes. We don't eat much fish so I chose this restaurant for the view. Instead we got delicious steaks. In fact it was the best steak I've ever had in my life. When the server brought the food, he told us "steak and rotten potatoes" When he left, my DBF looked at me like "What?" I said "I think he said rotten potatoes" I told my DBF that they just might be some fancy potatoes, it doesn't mean they are bad. When the server came back, my DBF asked what kind of potatoes they were again and we finally understood that he meant Gratin potatoes. We laughed about it. For dessert, DBF had the chocolate wave and loved it, I had the cheesecake with the peach flavor and it was okay. Service, food and View were very good. We got our candelight vouchers and saw the show which I thought was just ok. DBF found it boring. I was looking forward to this and thought it would be good. :confused3 Here's the pics: (sorry, I forgot to take the pic before I started eating)

GARDEN GRILL DINNER- rating 7
This meal was okay. I liked the idea of the restaurant revolving around different scenes and characters, but we weren't too crazy about it. Mickey wasn't into character much. He seemed tired and rushed. Chip n' Dale and pluto were very good though. Pluto tried to take DBF's cell phone away when DBF was talking to his cousin. Dale sat with me when I was alone when DBF and DD3 went to the bathroom. The food was a disappointment. The catfish was good, and the steak was ok, but everything else wasn't good at all. :furious: The service was good though. I wouldn't go again.

1900 PARK FARE DINNER- rating 7
We were hungry and had to park far for self parking here at the Grand Floridian. The lobby was stunning. We were called within 5 minutes. The food variety was excellent here. We were seated in the middle of a very very busy restaurant. It was 8pm on a monday night and this place was packed. On the buffet, I had the prime rib, peel and eat shrimp, and some pasta with shrimp. The prime rib was ok, the shrimp was good, but the pasta was outstanding. I ate mostly pasta for my whole meal. I can't remember what I had for dessert so It probably wasn't so good. Ther server wasn't good either. We had plated piled up at our table and we barely saw him at all. Cinderella came over for a very brief amount of time. Maybe a minute and only once. The mice came by several times. The worst part was the prince. We had finished our meal and the server kept rushing us to pay and leave. We still hadn't met the prince. When I told the server, he said he would try to find the person who handles the characters so he could come over before we left. He never did that. He came by again trying to get our dining plan card and we told him we still didn't meet the prince. Eventually after about 15 minutes, and after visiting every single table around us except ours, he finally came over. We also had to meet the fairy godmother in the hallway in the middle of our meal because she wouldn't be visiting every table inside. Would I go again? Maybe.

MAMA MELROSE FANTASMIC PACKAGE- rating 8
We had an early reservation here at 3:30pm for dinner. We were seated within a few minutes. For appetizers, we both got calamari. I was a bit confused :confused3 because the fantasmic menu was different and didn't have calamari on the menu, but we were given the regular menu. The calamari was outstanding. All 3 of us loved it. Bread was ok. For entrees, I had the penne alla vodka. I'm italian and I've had lots of this before, and it was just ok. It needed more vodka flavor and more parmesean cheese. :sad2: DBF got the veal and did not like it. He had a few bites and then shared my pasta. For dessert, I had the cheesecake and DBF and DD3 had gelato. The ricotta cheesecake was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. It was outstanding. DBF loved the ice cream. Service was good and we weren't rushed. Went to fantasmic which was incredible. This was the best cheesecake ever:

OHANA'S- rating 9
Dinner was at 9:15pm. I wanted to catch wishes from the poly at 9:30pm (from mvmcp). We got to the poly around 8:45 and went to the beach to catch the electrical water pageant as we layed on a hammock. Then we went to the restarurant lobby. We checked in and were called in just a few minutes. Then we were seated near the window. I requested a window seat when I checked in. They brought out the salad and Wishes started. The view was just so so. After the salad which was good, they brought the chicken wings and shrimp. The chicken wings were fabulous. DD3 didn't like the food much so she had chicken strips and fries. I wanted to pay cash for this meal, and I think they gave her an adult portion cause it was huge and we paid $12 for it, but it was very good. Next, they brought the meats out. I liked the steak and chicken. Turkey was ok. Didn't like sausage much. We didn't even try the veggies, but they looked ok. The potatoes were awesome. Very good and creamy. Just delicious. This was DBF's favorite meal. Service was very good except that DBF ordered a alcoholic drink, but never got it. The server forgot to bring it, but it was ok as he changed his mind and was too full to even drink it. That saved us $5. She messed up on the bill and charged us for it, but it was taken cared of. Dessert was pretty good and from how it looked, I didn't think I'd like it. Very nice place.

CINDERELLA'S ROYAL TABLE- rating 9
I was worried about this one too, but it turned out great at least for me. Upon entering, we took a pic with Cinderella. She wasn't the best cinderella we've seen though. They took our pic then we were told to go upstairs. I requested a window seat and we got the best table in the restaurant. A table for 3 right by the window overlooking fantasyland. The atmosphere was very good. DBF loved that we were called my lady and my lord and had "servents". DD3 was given a princess wand. For appetizers, we both got the BLT salad. It wasn't so good. For entrees, we both got the prime rib with potatoes. DD3 got pasta. I LOVED my entree. It was my favorite of the week. Prime rib had great flavor and was very soft. Potatoes were excellent. DBF didn't care for it much. DD3 barely touched her food. She got full on the pretzel bread. We got our photo package and a pic of the castle in a nice folder and it was just ok. For dessert, we also both had the choc. mousse cake which came with some cookie thing. I love choc mousse and this was good, but not great. DBF and DD liked it. As we were having dessert, the fairygodmother and mice came out and did a little dance and show. They very very briefly visited the tables. The mice wouldn't even sign our autograph book. She shook her head no. We also saw a guy propose to his girlfriend at the next table. There pic was taken and they were given non alcoholic champagne. Would go again. :cool1:

TUSKER HOUSE RESTAURANT- rating 8
After so many great reviews of this place, I was expecting a great meal. Some of it was great. The half chicken was delicious. It was soft and juicy. The potatoes it came with weren't too good to me. It was just ok as was the cheesecake I got for dessert. I found it a little too sweet for my taste. DBF had the chocolate cake. He had a few bites, and said it was just a bit too rich. DD3 loved the chocolate cake. Service was fast and good.

COSMIC RAYS STARLIGHT CAFE- rating 10
We loved this place. DBF is a burger and fries person so he was thrilled that burgers were served here. I got the half chicken and rib combo which was a fantastic deal for 1 counter service on the DDP. It came with 2 sides. Potatoes and veggies. DBF of course, got the double cheeseburger with fries. I liked the chicken a lot. It was juicy and good. I didn't care for the ribs. They were a little too spicy for me. The potatoes were excellent. DBF's burger was an average burger and fries. We both got dessert, but I can't remember what we had. Service was a bit slow but didn't have any problems with it. This place was huge so it was pretty easy to find a table. We ate around 11:45.

EVERYTHING POP FOOD COURT LUNCH- rating 9
We had lunch here. I got the chicken parmesean with penne alfredo and another cheesecake. This one had marshmellows on top (I love cheesecake!) :) My food was great. The portion was so big, I could never have finished it. It was pretty good. DBF got another burger and fries and chocolate cake. Again, the chocolate cake was too rich. Service and food for the most part was great. I didn't care for the topping on the cheesecake much so I just ate the bottom and inside.

PECOS BILLS CAFE- rating 8
We stopped here for dinner while at mvmcp. We got a table outside since the 1st parade was about to go by. Many tables were taken, but there was some more tables to the side which still had an ok view of the parade. It didn't matter as I planned to see the later parade anyway. I got the bbq pork sandwich with the peanut butter brownie mousse dessert. The sandwich also came with beans on the side. DBF got...you guessed it, burger and fries and was able to get grapes as dessert. They don't tell you this- we asked what else we could get. My pork sandwich was just ok- I think they go a little overboared with the bbq flavor. The dessert was ok too. DBF liked the burger- the toppings bar was great. My DD3 loves pickles and tomatoes so she was happy here. DD3 loved the grapes too. Service was fast and efficient.

TOY STORY PIZZA PLANET- rating 9
This was a great place. We originally weren't gonna eat here, but it smelled so good outside. We went in and there were lots of arcade games. DBF got a big smile on his face when he saw it. We got on line for food first. I got the buzz deal which was an individual cheese pizza, and side salad. For dessert, I got a big chocolate chip cookie. DBF got the woody deal of an individual pepperoni pizza, and side salad. For dessert, he got the rice crispy treat. I ate my pizza and put some ranch dressing on the salad and tried it. It was very very good. Salad was very fresh and dressing was good. I liked that you were able to get as much dressing as you wanted on your own since I like a lot of dressing on my salad. The cookie was soft and freshly baked. It tasted good. DBF ate all his pizza and a few bites of the rice crispy treat. He doesn't like sallad unless it has just vinegar and oil on it and this wasn't an option so he just left it. Service was fast and good. There's an ok amount of tables. Outside was all taken so we got a table upstairs overlooking the arcades. While I was finishing up, DBF and DD3 went down to play some games. The down side is that you have to pay to play each one. (I only wish it was free and just for fun) It was hard to get DBF to leave. He enjoyed the games.

BACKLOT EXPRESS- rating 7
We got hungry around 2:30ish and decided to stop here. We used snacks earlier, so we had lunch late and dinner was late. We got on line. We both ordered the double cheeseburger with fries. For dessert, I had yet another cheesecake. DBF got the strawberry parfait. Burgers and fries were very good. Desserts weren't. There were lots of empty tables inside here so we picked one. Then we found it to be very hot inside this place so we went outside instead. We came just to eat but ended up seeing the 3pm parade for the 2nd time. There was also a problem when ordering. They mixed up our order number somehow and even though we saw our tray of food with the exact stuff we ordered, she wouldn't give us the tray until the problem was straightened out.Eventually we got our food. She did apologize.

PINOCCHIO VILLAGE HAUS- rating 7
We got hungry when everyone else did and MK was very crowded that day. (It was a saturday). We tried this place. I got the italian sub with strawberry shortcake. DBF got the pizza and cannoli. We also got chips.
My sub was good, but kind of dry. The shortcake had frozen strawberries in it. It was just ok. DBF liked the pizza. He didn't like the cannoli but I did so I had it.

For snacks we were able to get a box of 8 entenman's doughnuts for 1 snack credit, ice cream bars, bagels, cheese danish, and yogurt.
Some other things that we saw were a 2 liter soda, individual orange juice or individual milk. I think you were able to get an individual cereal and small milk for 1 snack credit too.
I hope you all enjoyed my reviews. Please ask questions. I'll be glad to answer. I'll try to get pics up soon. I'm having technical problems though.
