After our first day at Magic Kingdom, I wanted to eat at 'Ohana. We took the monorail from MK to the Polynesian.
We arrived about 25 minutes early for our 6:30 ADR. I checked in & they said it would be about our actual reservation time when our table would be ready. I said that would be fine. We looked in the gift shop & then sat down. We waited & waited. Everyone's buzzer seemed to go off around us. I was starting to wonder if this meal was going to be worth the wait. After waiting 55 minutes our buzzer finally went off!
Our "cousin" escorted us to our table but first she stopped to get us some DELICIOUS pineapple coconut bread
After we were seated, the food started coming in.
First was the salad:
To be honest, I didn't like this salad. It was too sweet for me. I like my salad with ranch. Everyone else seemed to like it though. This was the only not so great part of the meal.
Next came the pork dumplings & sticky wings:
MY OH MY, these were SO GOOD!!
Then came the broccoli & noodles:
These tasted like they look but I was so obsessed with the pork dumplings & sticky wings, I barely ate any of this
Then came all the meat; steak, pork, chicken & shrimp:
These were all very good!
Finally after a long wait, what I had been dreaming about: the bananas foster bread pudding:
WOW is all I can say! It definitely lived up to the hype!!
They also brought out a cupcake for my DS's 2nd bday celebration:
I asked DH what his favorite was, he said he loved the noodles.
The only thing I didn't like was the salad. I loved the bread, pork dumplings, sticky wings, steak, shrimp & bread pudding!!
Overall, 'Ohana was definitely worth the wait!! I would certainly eat here again & I would wait an hour for it too
