Hello everyone, this is my first time on this site, and my first trip to WDW. My family and I have been to Disneyworld four times since 1999. We love the magic of Disney and have been lucky enough to get to go to Disneyworld four times. We are now fortunate enough to have been invited to go to WDW on a Grand Gathering with In-Laws. My husband and I (mostly me) are control freaks and cannot see jumping in with your eyes closed, so we have been planning since June, and still are. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of DisneyWorld. If you spend 7 days at Disneyland you can stroll around, leave early, arrive late, and still see and do everything twice. But I see from reading and researching DisneyWorld that the first thing I have to do is to realize that I can't see and do everything. We are going 12/09/05 to 12/16/05 any advice for a first timer? And does anyone think that we could see, or do everything in 8 days at that time of the year? If not what shows are really not worth seeing? thank you in advance ::MickeyMo

Hi and welcome to the DIS boards. You will find a huge amount of info here. Hopefully a moderator will move this over to the Theme Parks boards since you will get a better response there. That is your best area for terrific info as to park doings and the things you just shouldn't miss seeing!!! See you over on the Theme Park boards!!

I agree that this post really belongs on the Theme Parks thread. Anyway, I seriously recommend that you do not try to do "everything" during your 8 days at WDW. It is absolutely impossible to see and do everything simply because WDW is so huge. This also gives many of us here on the DIS the "excuse" for having to return so many times :flower: .
Keep reading these boards for a lot of great ideas and tips. Go over to allearsnet.com for loads of WDW information.
