This will be my first Pin Celebration I will be attending so I have no clue on what to expect. If there are any Pin Celebration veterans out there please feel free to add to this topic to help out people like myself.

Here are some of my questions:

Will we know what pins we got (from the RSP) before we arrive or is it done on the spot.

Which Resort will the pre-registration be held at? It's less than a month away and no word yet.

Will there be chances to score free pins? (ie attending classes or seminars or something along those lines)

See you there.

Which Resort will the pre-registration be held at? It's less than a month away and no word yet. That info has not yet been posted. Last year it was in the convention hall at the Boardwalk resort

Will there be chances to score free pins? (ie attending classes or seminars or something along those lines)Each year I have attended, and they have had a seminar where you put your name ina drawing to be chosen to make a free pin at the event. Also the Pin Partners from around the world give each event attendee a free pin, and you can win free pins playing the games.

See you there.

Hope my answers have helped.

Take lots of traders with you. When I went two years ago they had boards where you could trade your pins for anything on the boards. They refreshed (put on some very cool pins) the boards, every so often. The wait time varied but was normally over 30 minutes. If you were very, very lucky, they refreshed the boards right before you went up to trade. That happened to me once. I went up and picked out two hard to find pins.

Print out the list of Cast Member only pins that have just come out or haven't come out yet, that way you know what pins to get off the boards. I found out that I left some very good traders on the boards (after the fact of course) and took some not so good traders.

I know they haven't said.......but pre-registration and merchandise pick up will hopefully be at the same place it has been for the last two time........Beach Club.
It is getting closer, can hardly wait.

Some more questions.

What is a pin partner?

Are there special AP pins for this event?

After you receive and inspect your pins can you ship them back to your resort?

Thanks,

A pin partner is a non-WDW Disney pin seller. They will have tables showing the upcoming pins and will give you a free pin/trinket when you get your card/book/whatever they give you stamped. So for example, there will be DLR, DLPR, DisneyDirect, DCL, etc.

As far as AP pins, who knows what goodies they will dig out of their vault and give away. Some may wind up on the trading boards, some may be given as prizes for a trivia contest....one never knows. There are also some listed in the Silent and Live pin auctions. (not that I'm thinking about the Figment Breakfast AP pin.....never)

Never heard about getting them to ship it back to your hotel room. Ask....it can't hurt.

A quick clarification to my second question. When I said AP pins I was thinking along the lines of Annual Passholder not Artist Proof (but I wouldn't turn down the opportunity of snagging a Artist Proof pin either.) I guess I got a bonus answer to my question :)

Yet another question, When and/or where do you get these card or books stamped by a pin partner?

Sorry for the noobish questions :3dglasses

Sorry for the confusion between AP and AP. LOL!!!

No, normally no Annual Passholder Event pins, but there is a new AP DAK Chip and Dale pin that is being released this month or next. Third in this year's series.

You get the book/card/whatever as part of the registration packet, as well as meal coupons, coupons for pin games, and all the other stuff. You get them stamped as you go thru the line of pin partner tables.
