We are planning a 12 day trip to orlando next May 2nd time to wdw 1st to Universal. I have 9 nights booked at BWV. Were planning on visiting Universal first. I have 3 nights booked at HOH. I'm wondering if 2 days at Universal is enough to see everything and still enjoy the pool and other amenities or should I do 4 nights HOH and 8 nights BWV. Were traveling from the west so I don't think we will get to the hotel until after 5p the first night. Were not park commandos so I want to make sure were not rushed, but I don't want to be bored doing the same rides over and over. Any advice would be helpful. Basically I'm just asking how many days is good amount.

It really depends on your group. I'm comfortable spending four days in the two parks but three days would be adequate. I love to poke around and explore and yes, ride some things over again.

I assume that you're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel? Amazing pool and you can pool hop to the other two resorts if you want to. You also have Citywalk nearby with a movie theater and plenty of places to eat. Couldn't you spend three days at Universal if you have three nights booked?

I know that it's hard to figure out!

You might want to rethink doing Universal first. The unlimited Express access onsite guests receive is very habit forming so when you have that first and then you go to Disney, you won't want to wait in any lines. Plus...Universal is more laid back than Disney so it's nice to wind down for a few days before returning home. Three days should be about right...spend one day at each park and then use the third day for the favorites.

Thanks for the advice. I think we will stick with universal first. It gives us a chance to relax and get to used to the time change before we have to start making rope drop. 7am in orlando is 4am here. I never wait in too many lines at disney. I grew up 10 minutes from DL so I'm pretty good at getting around the park and using fast passes. I will plan on 3 days in parks. Thanks.
