Hi all! I am new to the boards and planning my first trip for April 2015. I will be traveling with my husband, my two sons ages 4 and 17 mos at the time of the trip, as well as the grandmas both in their sixties--but fit and active. We are going to get a taste of what the World has to offer but are not going with a lets conquer Disney attitude. We are happy to move at a pace that suits our oldest and youngest! Enjoying planning so far, any tips for our unique situation are much appreciated!

:welcome:

I took my first trip last year and it sounds like you've got the right attitude. The best advice I got was that you can't do it all in one trip so don't try because you'll just end up tired and grumpy. I took afternoon breaks and enjoyed table service meals and was still amazed at how much I got done in a week, I can't wait to go back and discover everything I didn't get to.

Prioritize and enjoy.

We are going too, 1st time June 2015. I started a pretrip but it's probably more for me lol. It gives me a place to outsource my enthusiasm without driving my family nuts. Welcome!

:welcome:Dis Family :disrocks:

I starting taking my DD to Disney when she was 3 and it took few years to experience everything at Disney.

We graduated from kiddy rides and shows to the more intense rides as DD grew to the rides height requirements.

Have fun and you will be hooked for life....:cool1:

Hi and welcome!

For many of us here, the planning is a big part of the fun. And you're going into it with both the right timeline and the right attitude. Lots of time to learn all you'll need to know.

First question: have you narrowed down where you'll be staying? One room or two?

We are going to stay in a suite at the Art of Animation. Initially we were going to do All Star Sports but the additional amenities and toddler friendly pool won me over. I figure each Grandma will have a bed, maybe with a kiddo joining them as when we are traveling I am more comfortable with my oldest bedding in with me because he's a sleep walker. It will be good for my two boys to have a little more room as well.

A trip with the grammas sounds awesome! Have a wonderful trip!
