hi all
since being buried in snow, i've decided to plan my trip for next winter (we leave for wdw next week!)
i thought i'd try the cruise with my then 3 and 4 yr olds.
where can i find more extensive info about this? (the disney site doesn't get into the shore excursions and such)
thanks
any info you'd like to pass along would be great including recommendations on rooms

You have come to the right place! First of all the shore excursions are on the Disney Cruise line site. Here is the URL:

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/disneycruiseline/funonshore/funonshoreindex?id=FunOnshoreRoot

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about the shore excursions until you've booked. I would check out the post's on this site about which stateroom to chose and early vs late dining. (With little ones, you'll probably want early). You need to know what you are doing in regards to those two things when you book, but the shore excursions aren't booked until about 60 days before you cruise.

You also may want to purchase a Passporter Guide to Disney Cruise Lines. We just received ours and it's great. Here is the
URL to order one:
http://www.passporter.com/

It will tell you just about everything you need to know. They go into great detail regarding the pros and cons of each category of type of state room.

I agree with Fay Ray, this is the best place on the web for info, also, The PassPorter's Feild Guide to Disney Cruise Line is an excellent source of information....I thought I knew it all until I got this book. You can order this book at www.passporter.com

You might also want to visit the Disney Cruise Line website

Also, a wealth of information is available at Deb Will's site WDWIG

A well planned trip is a stress free trip, have fun!:smooth:

I am by no means experienced, but we took our first cruise in Jan. We found that our DD's 2 and 4 were too young for the excursions on the 4-day. I may have missed something though. The ages of your children are perfect since they are old enough to be in the kids club and will be in the same age group.
