First Timer Cruiser Needs Advice!!

We have never been on a cruise but are considering a 4 night to Bahamas in late July. Any thoughts on which ship, type of stateroom, location on the ship and any other little tidbits you wished you knew before you went would be very helpful. We would like a true balcony but that's all we know. We're both in early 40s so walking not a problem. And no children will be with us. Thanks in advance

I will say late July is still peak season/$ according to DCL. Kids are still out of school somewhere. Late July will cost you.

I will assume you are considering this year in July. The only DCL ship I found late July for 4 nights is the Dream out of Port Canaveral. So that narrows the ships down.

It looks like late July, 4 nights on Dream, veranda, start at $1200 - 1400 per person.

yes we are late july this year and port canaveral is what we would be doing anyway. so i guess room location and info on the staterooms is good. thanks

Do you have a travel agent? Are you members of Costco, AAA, etc?

Odds are the ship is 3/4 full at this point. Most folks book a year or more in advance especially for peak summer. However, I'm sure DCL will fit you in at a price.

If you sail in the fall or winter the fare would be 1/3 less minimum.

You have a 7/21 or a 7/28 sailing available.

Actually pocking around it seems you do have options. It's because it's a 4 day. That's good.
