First time to WDW

I am working with a TA for an upcoming trip and have a million questions. First, is it best to request a specific building/floor/location of room? Second, will Pop Century hold our luggage on day of checkout as well? We would like to enjoy as much of the park as possible and won't be leaving the park until early evening. Lastly, since I am an insulin-dependent diabetic, can I get a refrigerator free of charge or do I have to pay the $10.00/day. It doesn't sound like a lot, but budgets are tight.
