First time staying at the Cabins in Ft. Wilderness ... best way to get around?

First off, hello everyone! Never knew this forum existed but we very happy we found it!

Been reading for a bit here on the Cabins themselves and generally how to get around, but I'm getting a bit confused. Fortunately we have some time before we go to fully research what we need to know. Getting to the Magic Kingdom seems easy enough .... bus to dock and then to MK. However, getting to Wilderness Lodge (where we have noontime reservations at Whispering Canyon both the first day we arrive and the last day we leave) seems to perplex me, as well as getting to other parks (such as AK, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios). Are there buses at the Outpost directly to these places or would we have to take a bus to someplace else and then to these places?

Even writing this I'm getting confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From the same dock you catch a boat to the MK there is also a launch that makes a loop from FW - WL - CR. Many time there are two launches running... on clockwise and one counter clockwise.

To get the a park other than MK you just grab a FW bus to the outpost and transfer there.

Thank you! I've been reading posts all day trying to figure out the best course of action, time-wise, staying at Ft. Wilderness and using a dining plan. From what I'm gathering, the best way is to leave the cabin as early as possible. We want to take is slow this time but still want to take in as much as we can.
