First time staying at DVC, questions

So I was able to exchange into Animal Kingdom Lodge through RCI, and have a few questions. I know there is a $95 parking fee charged at check in. Is this waived if you have an annual pass? Also, if you are familiar with AKL, is it easier to take the buses around property or drive? I'll have a car, so thats not an issue.

I havent stayed on disney property in over 25 years! So I am pretty excited about this trip.

nope. it's not really a parking fee, it's basically a trade-in fee (although officially it covers busing to/from the airport and parks...whether you use the buses or not).

Also, if you are familiar with AKL, is it easier to take the buses around property or drive? I'll have a car, so thats not an issue.

it's easier to take the buses but if you are impatient, the car may be a better option. i almost always use the buses. opinions vary. AKV is a relatively long way from the MK either way - that's just the way it is...
