Hello everyone,

I am planning my first solo trip to WDW on March 24-28. I am a 35 yrs old man. A little bit anxious about the solo trips even through i have done couple solo trips to Hawaii.

I have never been to WDW only been to Disneyland several times. I am looking for other Disney fellows (solo/groups) to explore WDW together, to eat and chat. Hopefully I wont feel lonely.

Looking forward seeing some replies!

You'll be fine. I recommend taking the Sangria University class. I was sat with other Solo folks and made some nice acquaintances.

Do some Disney tours and you will be in a group. Epcot's Biergarten sits you in groups at a table for eating. Epcot's Teppan Edo is another group setting for eating. I've approached other singles at dining to see if it would be okay to join up for a meal.

I’ll be there next week, too. While I’ve occasionally shared a table at a CS meal with another solo, I think a lot of folks going solo LIKE the freedom of no plans and getting to be an introvert. Basically, not many are looking for meet-ups.

If it’s your first time solo, just make sure you have a back up charger for your phone so if you feel self conscious, you can focus on your phone. You’ll see a lot of solos. One trip last year, not only did one other person have the exact same morning touring plan as me at HS, we ran across each other at MK the next day. We chatted some in a couple of lines. Other trips, while I spot solos, I never interact with anyone. Some trips, I spend time getting integrated into conversations with families while in line, waiting for a parade, or at a character meal. Other trips, zero of that happens.

Have loads of fun!

I did a solo trip to WDW for 4 days last July while my wife was at a conference in Tampa. It was nice not to beholden to schedules and what other people want to do, that being said, I did have a lot of fun but did miss having my park buddy with me. I chatted with some other solo people, and some families, but otherwise kept to my self. Did a couple of sit down meals solo (50's PT, GF cafe, Spice Road Table) and was quite comfortable. It seemed the staff was more attentative than normal (but that could just be me). Of course, I booked another trip for the wife and I for this summer before I even left the resort and we already had a trip planned for ths past Dec as well! I would also suggest doing a tour of some sort, they can be alot of fun, I like the Behind the Seeds tour at Living with the Land (not overly expensive (30 dollars or so if I remember correctly) and is about 60 mins or so in length, I also like the Africa Animal Trek at Animal Kingdom (about 2 hours long with a special lunch included on the savannah bit more expensive about 175 dollars I think, but worth it!

My wife knows not to leave me unsupervised! :D Things like disney trips/home renovations will randomly happen! The last time she went to a conference and left me unsupervised. I gutted the entire upstairs to the studs and replaced all plumbing, electric, sheetrock, and flooring! That was a 15k descion! So she agreed a solo trip to WDW was much cheaper!:rotfl2:
